This report in the March 3,2001 issue of Lancet state that the risk of death from all causesincluding heart disease, cut in half for individuals who have highestlevels of vitamin C in blood. In the findings of Dr. Kay Tee Khaw, thehigh blood levels of vitamin C were associated with a decreased riskfor cancer.

     * AN ANTIOXIDANT :Oxidation is removal of electrons from the molecular oxygen and toconvert it to an active form called as oxidant. It has a tendency toacquire electrons and damage most cell structures by releasing DNAdamaging free radicals.
